where it began
we looked backwards to move skincare forwards.
untaintd began with a frustration we kept coming back to: skincare had become harder to trust.
shelves were crowded with long ingredient lists, aggressive routines and products that seemed to ask us to choose between “natural” and “effective”. we didn’t believe those things had to be opposites.
so we started looking backwards — to ingredients people had trusted on skin for generations — and asking how they could be refined, balanced and elevated for the way we care for skin today.

our first formula started with grass-fed tallow — a traditional, lipid-rich ingredient that has been used on skin for generations — and bakuchiol, a modern botanical active derived from the babchi plant, whose use in traditional skincare stretches back centuries.
around them, we built a formula that brings together the reassurance of time-tested ingredients with the refinement people expect from modern skincare: considered texture, purposeful botanicals and nothing added simply for the sake of it.

but tallow is our beginning, not our boundary. untaintd is being built around a wider idea: thoughtful skincare that looks to the past for what still matters, uses modern formulation where it improves the experience, and never loses sight of the skin itself.
